No matter how good you are behind the camera, the outcome of your product will still depend a lot on your subjects. In the field of corporate photography, it is essential that you inform your clients on what they can do and how should they prepare for an upcoming shoot. This is work and both parties must cooperate in order to achieve the kind of outcome that will be pleasing to you and your clients.
To help you with the task, here are some tips that you can follow in order to help your clients prepare for the date when the shoot is going to be held.
1. You have to tell them the basics on how they can look pleasant on the day of the shoot. First off, they must look into their hair and hairstyles. If they think that they needed to change styles or they needed a trim, they must do something about it at least two weeks before the shoot. This way, they can still do something about it if ever something did not go well with their expectation.
The same is true with their teeth. If they needed to see the dentist for any kinds of touch-ups, they have to do so two weeks prior the event. This is quite important because they will be able to smile with more genuinely if they are confident with their teeth.
You should also remind them that they need to be sober the night before the shoot. It would show on their pictures if they have a hang over or they were drunk. You may be able to do something to fix red eyes through editing, but the picture would look better if little enhancements would be done. An eye dropper would also help to lessen or remove the redness and to make the eyes appear dazzling.
2. They have to bring their own accessories. You can also provide what you have, even though this is not part of what you offer on your corporate photography stint, but to make sure that they will be able to use the ones that they prefer, it is best that they bring their own stuff. If the client wants to be pictured with eyeglasses, advise them to have something without glasses. This is to avoid unnecessary flares into the photographs.
If the shoot is going to be done outdoors, the clients must be prepared with hair accessories like clips, headbands or hats.
These are only some of the useful tips that you can give to the clients of your corporate photography business. Through these, you can help them look their best during the shoot and help you both to finish the project with minimal hassles.
